What is web accessibility?
1. About this leaflet
This accessibility statement applies to the website cluckchick.fi of Orcanen Ab (subsidiary company name CluckChick). The statement was prepared in April 2026.
We are constantly working to improve the accessibility of our site and ensure that all users — including those using assistive devices — can use our site as smoothly as possible.
2. Applicable legislation
The European Union Accessibility Directive (2016/2102/EU) and its implementing Act on the Provision of Digital Services (306/2019) oblige public sector organizations to comply with WCAG 2.1 AA level accessibility requirements.
CluckChick is a private company and is not directly subject to the Accessibility Directive. We voluntarily follow accessibility best practices because we want to serve all our customers equally.
3. Accessibility status
The website cluckchick.fi mainly meets the requirements of WCAG 2.1 level AA. The identified deficiencies and their correction schedule are described below.
4. Known accessibility deficiencies
We have identified the following accessibility issues that are currently being addressed:

Some images have missing or incomplete alt texts — will be fixed in the next website update.

Error messages in forms are not descriptive enough for screen readers in all situations — this will be fixed by the end of 2026.

Video subtitles are missing if video content is published on the site — they will be added before publication.

7. Technical data
The website has been built using modern web standards. To ensure accessibility, we have strived to adhere to the following technical requirements:

HTML5 semantics for heading structure and page structuring.

ARIA attributes for interactive components.

Sufficient color contrast between text and background (at least 4.5:1).

The site is accessible using the keyboard without a mouse.

The website scales to different screen sizes (responsive design).
